Some Day, Sam will be President of the world, but until then this cockney lad will lead SMS into a Golden Era. Sam Day is someone who has done it all and we can think of no one else who is a better fit for President. He claimed two leads in his first year with SMS and is producing Cabaret. There is nothing this boy cant do! Having been heavily involved in many societies last year he has decided SMS is where is Snake bite intoxicated heart lies. However, dont think this fella is all work and no play, in fact quite the opposite! He will be found at every fruity (dont bank on him remembering seeing you!), hosting many a house party, Otley running to his hearts content and he may every now and then be found sleeping on your sofa! Sofa Boy Sam has achieved so much in such a short amount of time and we all know that he will continue to achieve so much for the society! With him as our leader, we couldn't be in better (although very very clumsy) hands!

Amy Kate Newsome - Secretary
Amy 'mad eye moody' kate is our organised secretary but don't get her wrong shes a party diva and she knows it. Dont play mafia with her because shes rubbish BUT what she lacks in attention span she gains in personality. She loves to dance and is the other half of the choreographing twosome this semester. her northern roots are infectious- we love AK
Emma Streets - Treasurer
Streets walked into SMS with a big smile and with her bang tidy voice secured a lead in her fist show as Maria in West Side. Due to this she was dragged away to the principle corner and we did not see much of her, until the demon was released!! Throw a 'chav' outfit at this girl and you will have a drunken, grinding, dancing lass making the lads drop their jaws. Streets is constantly singing which makes her such a joy to be around and her smile could boost the Greek economy! However, this little London lass, has a dark side! She threw herself into the deep end of the committee by taking a very tough position in the executive part. However, a brighter girl you will struggle to find and therefore we are very confident that Emma will handle the Wall StreetS side of things. However a warning to those joining, if your name is Sam... watch out for this Blonde Sharks advances! You have been warned fellas!

James 'Santy' Cunningham - Social Sec.
James Cunningham, aka Santy, embodies SMS in every dance move he randomly pulls out throughout the day. You can look far and wide but you will never be able to find someone who enjoys partying more or is better at partying. A perfect fit to lead the social side of the society. Never shall we have a boring night out, a civilised Curry, a tame house party, a standard holiday or a 50% fruity attendance. This non-stop dancing DJing hero does nothing by half. It is 100% in everything, including his shooting up when it comes to his beloved insulin. For those who are looking for a society that is in safe hands when it comes to the social front look no further, DJ Santy has the answer!
Saide Chetwyn- Social Sec.
Sadie Chetwyn, aka POODLE, is the fun-loving and determined other half of the Social Sec Team. Over the past year she has watched the society as a whole and decided to get heavily involved by also becoming one of the new choreographers for Cabaret. She is very excited for the year ahead and knows that for a future in the society she must not cut her hair. This year she found that going to a dodgy hair dressers in Leeds resulted in the majority of her poodle being removed with a chainsaw…
Euan 'Mitch' Tyre - Publicity
Mitch Tyre is often mistaken for a charismatic, friendly joker with a heart of gold. Having stood out from the crowd as a wee fresher with his sense of humour, Scottish accent and love of drinking, Mitch became a respected member of SMS. After successfully directing and selling out musical "Little Shop of Horrors" at Bodington Hall, Mitch is not only our Publicity Sec but is also directing 'Cabaret' this semester. But don't be fooled by this man's credentials and charm. He's actually a complete scumbag. If you join this society, expect to be scraping Mitch off the floor of bars and picking the pieces of glass out of his bleeding body. (Not a joke - recurring fact.)
James Pegg - Open Seat
James is a seemingly quiet character, but as still as the lake in hogwarts....mad shit goes on beneath. Allow James more than one bottle of wine and all hell breaks loose, although we aim to expand and test this theory in the future. Our most infamous captain, this fresh faced music gem is a welcomed addition to the committee and we are expectant his salsa hips and inner tiger will bring great things to the society.
He also has a lovely blue scarf.

Smash - Half Year Open Seat
Sam Ashley, aka Smash, is the longest running SMS member since Mr Stage M Society himself. Smash has done it all, five shows, leads, most committee positions and a shed load of Fruitys to his name! If SMS was a mafia, Smash would be the Godfather, or maybe the Godmother. Encouraging group drinking, hosting many an after party, the mastermind behind Kerry, looking after the new guns and keeping the older guns in order this musical maverick has quite literally bled, sweat and given tears for this society. So long as we have this dancing, barking, drinking, kind, fancy dressing, bizzaro, lovely, Joseph loving medic in our society, we will continue to shine!!
